Women's rights

Safe motherhood day organised in Rajasthan. Over 17,000 women were found anaemic and 5,000 women found with high risk pregnancy. Over 42,000 women given medical facility under safe motherhood drive.

Parent-teacher meetings being organised in all government schools of Rajasthan on Friday. Parent to be informed of student welfare and scholarship schemes.

Police had to return empty handed from a house in Jaipur, which it had gone to get a bonded labourer released. 21-year-old labourer from West Bengal told the police that he was working on his free will.

Census reveals shocking “Chotu” figures. Five in every 100 children of 5 to 14 years in Rajasthan are child labourers.
